ONWA KS-200A+ AIS Transponder – 5W SOTDMA

With an AIS transponder, you are more visible to other vessels and traffic control centers.

Easily connect the KS-200A+ to your tablet or phone via Wi-Fi, or to your chart plotter via the built-in NMEA 2000 / 0183 connection.

Works excellently with the Waterkaarten and Navionics Apps. Does your tablet/iPad not have built-in GPS? No problem, this is transmitted to your tablet by the ONWA KS-200A+.

5 Watt; This is the transponder's higher transmit power. Standard Class B AIS transponders transmit at 2 Watts, while this 5 Watt variant offers a greater range and better visibility at sea.

SOTDMA (Self-Organising Time Division Multiple Access); This is the communication protocol the transponder uses to manage transmission time on maritime VHF channels. SOTDMA allows AIS devices to reserve and claim their own transmission intervals (time slots) in congested waterways.

This ensures that the transponder always has a guaranteed 'slot' to transmit its position and data, increasing reliability and safety, similar to the technology used in Class A (commercial) AIS systems.

Are you looking for a reliable and affordable AIS solution for your boat? Then this AIS transponder is exactly what you need!
